Users of the x-ray lab must have appropriate safety and instrument training. Call 901-678-3115 for more information about training. For radiation safety training pls. contact Mr. Simpson at Environmental Health and Safety department at the University of Memphis. After you have received above training, you may schedule time by calling the 901-678-3115. Cancellation of instrument time must be 48 hours in advance or you will be billed for the entire time which you requested. You may cancel by calling the above number or sending an e-mail at srmishra@memphis.edu Billing begins from the start of the reserved time (even if you arrive late). You will be billed for the entire time reserved. Any extra time will be rounded to the nearest hour. There is a half hour (30 minute) minimum. Training classes may be scheduled by contacting Dr. Mishra (901-678-3115 or srmishra@memphis.edu) Users are requested to maintain log of their
experiment and time. Log book must remain in the XRD lab all the
time. It is strictly prohibited to carry out any XRD manuals out
of the laboratory. It is also prohibited to install any software
on the computer dedicated for the data acquisition. |
The sample preparation table must be cleaned before leaving the XRD laboratory. Samples may not
be left in the lab. |
